On- and off-screen, Australian actress Yerin Ha has the ethereal glow of an angel. TBH, it was all I could notice while delving into season 4 of Bridgerton. I managed to binge all available episodes the day after they came out, and I couldn’t get enough of Ha’s character Sophie Baek, the courageous maid reconnecting with her own self-worth. This aspect of the season’s plot is incredibly important, but as a beauty editor, I also deem Ha’s next-level glass skin equally as important and worthy of investigation. I hoped she would reveal at least a few of her secrets to us mere mortals. Well, ask and you shall receive.
Ha decided to bless us with an episode of Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, and she spilled all the tea. Even before I watched the video, I immediately clocked Ha as a Korean-skincare girlie. Her signature glow is totally on par with the glassy sheen that K-beauty products are known to deliver. Sure enough, I was right. Ha told Vogue that she got into skincare at a young age. “I would go to Korea once a year to visit my grandparents,” she said. “In Korea, you have really affordable skincare products, so I was always buying a three-step routine for basically $10 before inflation became a thing!”
That habit stuck with her. She still has a few cult-loved Korean products in her routine along with powerhouse skincare brands that are 100% beauty editor approved. For all of Ha’s skincare and makeup favorites, keep on scrolling. Her everyday edit is below.
Tatcha
The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser
She starts her skincare routine off with Tatcha’s creamy rice cleanser with hyaluronic acid, red algae, and Japanese rice powder. It’s perfect for dry or dehydrated skin and leaves it baby soft.
When her skin is feeling stressed, she uses the Mugwort Mask from Korean brand I’m From. It calms it down immediately with mugwort extract, an antimicrobial that fights off bacteria and fungi on the skin.
Glow Recipe
Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner
Glow Recipe’s pore-tightening tonic is one of her secrets to glowy skin. This cult-loved toner hydrates and exfoliates with watermelon extract, cactus water, and a blend of PHAs and BHAs that gently decongest the skin without causing irritation.
Arencia
Holy Hyssop Serum
She describes this serum mask as having a weird jelly consistency, but it’s packed with a whopping 30% of vitamins A, C, and E and hyssop extract to give a glassy glow. She also uses it with her gua sha tool to boost circulation, de-puff, and encourage lymphatic drainage on the face. When she has time, she’ll go get a “skin workout” with FaceGym.
Beauty of Joseon
Revive Eye Serum
For an eye cream, Ha swears by this viral hit from Beauty of Joseon. Featuring star ingredients like retinal and youth-enhancing ginseng, it’s perfect for hydration and a boost of radiance under the eyes.
Tatcha
Dewy Milk Moisturizer
This dewy moisturizer from Tatcha is a key product in Ha’s glowy-skin secret recipe. It features protective antioxidants, prebiotic green tea extract, and zinc hyaluronate to balance oil production in the skin, making it perfect for oilier skin.
Haruharu Wonder
Black Rice Moisture Airlift Daily Sunscreen
Next, she finishes with this cult-loved Korean sunscreen, which is a light, airy formula that feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen.
Armani Beauty
Golden Hour 24HR Lightweight Skin Tint
Ha says that, like many of us, she learned to do her makeup on YouTube. Although she says she’s “not that girlie” when it comes to a flawless execution (same), she keeps her base layer fresh and simple with Armani Beauty’s Golden Hour Lightweight Skin Tint.
DIOR
Forever Skin Correct Concealer
She then likes to use Dior’s concealer at the corners of her eyes and on any blemishes. I love this formula’s wand applicator because it makes it super easy to apply. The formula is amazing enough to use as a foundation IMO.
Laura Mercier
Caviar Stick Cream Eyeshadow
This rich, creamy eye shadow stick is another favorite of hers. She quickly applies this with her fingers to add extra dimension to the eyes.
DIOR
Diorshow Waterproof Liquid Liner
She loves a classic winged liner and uses Dior’s Diorshow Liquid Liner in brown to achieve the look. She isn’t a fan of black for everyday wear because it’s a tad harsh.
Chanel
Joues Contraste Powder Blush
This silky Chanel powder blush is also in Ha’s makeup bag. It adds radiance and the perfect wash of color on the cheeks. It’s incredibly buildable, so you can go for a subtler look or a bit more drama.
ILIA
Sunshift Cream Bronzer
Her bronzer of choice is Ilia’s Sunshift formula. Designed to mimic that “golden hour glow,” it adds so much warmth and radiance to the skin that it’s basically a highlighter and bronzer in one.
HOURGLASS
Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara
Ha has struggled with short lashes her whole life but says she gets them permed. To add some length and volume, she uses Hourglass’s Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara.
