Elegant Airport Outfits on EmRata, Hilary Duff, and Gwyneth Paltrow Leave a comment

Airport style remains an enduring conundrum, try as we might to figure it out. We want to be comfortable but also put-together. There’s the issue of temperature: The plane will likely be freezing and the airport too warm. Maybe you’re flying for work and you have a meeting to attend to immediately post-flight, but you don’t want to feel stiff in your seat. Our grandparents’ generation dressed up for every plane ride, and while I don’t think we need to return to that per se, I do think there’s merit to an elegant airport outfit.

Given the amount that celebrities travel, it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about how to cross time zones in style. Gwyneth Paltrow was recently snapped arriving in Milan in capri pants, a structural white top, blazer, and a bag in spring’s It color: cobalt blue. If your destination isn’t cold, it’s safe to say that capri pants are an excellent alternative to leggings at the airport. Or take a page out of Hilary Duff’s book and keep it all under wraps in a floor-length black coat. You won’t need a blanket on the plane because, well, you’re wearing one, and you look good in it, too (not to mention you’re saving valuable real estate in your suitcase).
